The air in the medieval world is very different from modern day, it is much cleaner and there is no smog or exhaust. Although I am used to this air it is nice to be back, I feel like I have been suffocating constantly in the modern world. I transported directly into a glade of pines so it smells like I am surrounded by a whole car load of pine air fresheners, the smell is so overpowering that I am getting a headache. Luckily the glade is pretty small so in about five minutes of fast walking I have reached the border of the pines.
In front of me was a panorama of beautiful rolling hills, they were covered in dark green, lush grass. I walked up the front of the nearest hill, the thick grass muffling the sound of my armored boots. Half way up I saw a small dark red flower, I immediately recognized it as a spicy edible flower, I picked it and put in my mouth, as soon as I started to chew the spicy flavor assaulted my tongue, my eyes puffed up and began to water. I started running around looking for a stream to cool my burning tongue. I found a trickling stream running down one of the hills, I knelt down and began to drink, the water was fresh and cold, it tasted good, probably chalked full of minerals.
